About Elizabeth Penney

I'm a former New Englander living in the peach belt. After a career in business journalism and consulting, I began writing fiction.

Most of the time, I write mysteries flavored with history. Even if they're contemporary, I include history in setting, artifact, or sub-plot. I'm the author of DEADLY GARLAND, DEADLY PATTERN, CASTLE OF WHISPERS, A MODEL MYSTERY, and STAB STITCHED, published by Annie's Fiction. I have six additional mysteries under contract with them. I am presently shopping a YA historical romance, LAST SUMMER IN EDEN, and a young adult mystery, PERFECT ENEMIES.

As the exception that proves the rule, BLAME IT ON THE ALIENS, a science fiction short story sans history was published in the NH Pulp Fiction project anthology, LIVE FREE OR SCI FI. My Gothic (historical), THE ROADHOUSE, will be published in LIVE FREE OR RIDE.

In addition to writing, I'm a former Associate/Assistant Editor for Entangled Romance's IGNITE imprint. I also was managing editor and chief writer for NH ENTREPRENEUR, co-published with the NH BUSINESS REVIEW for three years. I have an MBA and a BS in Accounting.
